It was a long month, the one that has divided our lives into what was before and what is now. The month that has shown us who is who in reality.

The unity in churches and missions that we can see today, this is the way that God is looking for in us. Our church, New Hope and Slavic Mission in Europe actively cooperates with many churches from Europe, USA, Canada and many churches in Ukraine.

Dull basements, thin mattresses on the cold floor, no light and heating, large cooking pod on the campfire that is shared with everyone and grateful faces of people, who have received the help from all of us.

During this time, we have accommodated more than 1000 people in our hostel and each of them has received the necessary help. Lots of them went further to another countries or another Polish cities; we also helped others to find accommodation in Krakow.

Children, girls and boys, younger and elder ones, who have come either together with the whole family or only with their mothers, or even without parents… They have already gone through so many things at their age.

Our hostel is working and it is the place where the process is in action. Now there is more space here! While our volunteers are helping the parents, their kids are playing light-heartedly in the play space.

The work is in full swing. More people have joined us and only this fact is already noticeable. All people who are here, have their jobs, families, children and more other day to day responsibilities.

We couldn’t even imagine that there could be the lines of people with their bags near our church in the morning and cars with humanitarian aid in the traffic jams.

Only 2 days ago we had our own things to do, we were walking around the city, meeting our friends…
